HP Pumps; What is next?

During Aquatech 2006 they managed to score huge export orders, without even being present.
Their customers; visitors collecting their brochures on the CBI (www.cbi.eu) stand.
Indeed they have an excellent website and good communication skills. But still, with a brand unknown at the time, it is a simply amazing result.

I wrote the below part as input for the CBI catalogue for this year’s Aquatech exhibition. Check them out, also if you are not into pumps.

Hydro Prokav Pumps

This company presents progressive cavity pumps, screw pumps and gear pumps at Aquatech. ‘Best known to give unmatched performance’ is on one of their catalogues. This may seem a hollow phrase to some. However, since they exported pumps to Italy, Finland, Poland, Rumania, Netherlands and Germany only through a brochure display (with no staff there) on the previous Aquatech exhibition, we have to admit, it is an unmatched performance as far as the CBI history is concerned. Their website (www.hppumps.com) has an unmatched speed, and gives a clarity on applications they supply, on their facilities and product line, that can hardly be matched by anyone.

Their only problem is that the height of our expectations for their performance on this year’s Aquatech are also unmatched.

NEW COMPONENT PLANT FOR INDIAN DIE CASTER

Coimbatore; 29 May 2008; You may already know AR Moulds as a quality die caster of dies from 80 – 2500 tonnage.

You may not know they have a new fully fledged die casting component production unit. The unit is equipped with 250, 420 & 800 Tonnage die casting Machineries. And we are talking about latest machineries.

Since you may not know this, AR Moulds present themselves in Frankfurt at the Euromold exhibition from 3 – 6 December this year.

Since 1990 AR Moulds offers moulds and dies for complex die casting applications. Since 1990 they also receive recognition from customers, through a series of awards they won. Recognition achieved by many different elements according to Mr. Rajan, the Managing Director. He mentions; ‘latest software, stringent quality policies, newly imported CNC and EDM machines and full service from beginning to end’

Recognition they also received from Dutch government agency CBI (Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries) who invited them to join their export promotion programme. Admission to this programme only took place after a thorough audit on elements like product quality, production process efficiency and safety and many other critical success factors.

Indian Roller Burnishing experts

Sometimes you meet people who teach you 'new things'. Do you know what 'Burnishing' is? I did not know until I got to know Mr. Srinivasan from 'Bright Burnishing Tools'; http://www.brightburnishingtools.com/ in India. When last month at the Metav exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany, he let me hold the actual tools i could fully picture just putting it in a CNC machining center. Now I share my knowledge on this interesting company with you.

Burnishing is a super finishing cold rolling process. 'Bright Burnishing Tools' is specialist in roller burnishing and makes a variety of tools for round in- and external diameters, tapered and multi diameter. Also concave profile and facing rollers are produced with many different profiles. All tools are adjustable and have a high degree of repeatability. Complete automatic portable and hydraulic machines for these tools complete the range of products from this company.

CBI: Complete range of pumps at Aquatech 2008 Amsterdam

Involved in purchasing pumps? Read the below text.

The CBI stall will offer a very complete pump range at Aquatech this year. Think of Water pumps, plunger pumps, floating pumps and mono pumps. A pump buyer cannot afford to miss the CBI stall this Aquatech. But also buyers of fittings and valves are advised to discuss their requirements. Macedonian Pumps at Aquatech

Just before the weekend, a pump manufacturer from Macedonia deserving your attention. Their name: MZT Pumpi http://www.pumpi.com.mk/. They exhibit at the Aquatech exhibition from 30 September - 3 October this year in Amsterdam RAI exhibition center.

This company already is a reputed company in the Balkan countries. Participation in the CBI programme is to give them the same status as in the rest of Europe. A mission that is likely going to succeed. Pumpi has an excellent range of high quality and lower-priced Centrifugal and Rotary pumps with which they can easily challenge the European competitor and surprise the Aquatech visitor. The relative geographical proximity of Macedonia is another advantage for the European pump buyer.
Firefighting, irrigation, water treatment, drainage are amongst the water applications they currently deal with.
‘Pump your way to Success’ is their slogan, and their course for their own success is set. You find them at Aquatech in stall 7.400.

Hydraulics Center in India

This is for all hydraulics purchasers looking for outsourcing opportunities in ‘low cost’ places. Keep reading. It starts out quite boring, but towards the end things get interesting for you ;-)

My ‘Wikipedia’ addiction made me read the article on Belgaum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belgaum). As many of you may be unaware; Belgaum is a city in India. It is in between Mumbai and Bangalore (distance to both metropoles around 500 km). Wikipedia does not tell us which state, Maharashtra or Karnataka, received permission from the Supreme Court to call Belgaum its own (so in order not to hurt anyone’s feelings, I will not tell you in which state it is located). And it is partly this border dispute stopping developments, investments etc. in Belgaum. At least, that is what the ‘local Belgaumers’ told us. We were visiting in August last year.
My traveling partner noticed the deterioration of the infrastructure. Since he has been traveling to Belgaum regularly in the last 10 years, I decided to believe him (rather than the rather ‘upbeat’ wikipedia profile).

Even though this may all sound slightly pessimistic, to some even unfriendly, there are definitely interesting companies and people to find. Especially if you are in the hydraulics sector. Belgaum has a huge quantity of hydraulics producers.

Once a long time ago, there was only one hydraulics company in the area, named Bemco Hydraulics. Then somebody left Bemco and started his own company. Another person left Bemco to start his own company. Somebody left that company etc. And at this point we lost count.

PRESS RELEASE: Already thought of Colombian clean room technology?

Buying industrial equipment from India and China is not strange anymore. Colombia is not the first country in the mind of purchasers however.

A pity considering that salaries are around 60% lower than in a country like Germany. Colombia also has surprisingly interesting suppliers.

One of them can be found on this year’s Hannover Messe (Interkama) and is called ‘C4’. C4 will present a range of interesting clean room equipment for Industrial purposes.

C4 was founded in 1984 and is a big name in the South and Middle American clean room industry. Selling to Europe they do for a relatively short time, but they have been very successful at it.

The European medical sector embraced them with excellent export orders last year.

This year’s second participation at the Hannover Messe they will use to send a message to the European clean room Industry. The message that they have an interesting range for the European clean room industry and interesting offers to go with that.

Their range consists of: air handling units, components for clean room and measuring devices, as well as Air Filter and fume extraction solutions.

C4 is selected in the CBI export coaching programme, a programme designed to make sure they meet European standards at all levels of their operations.
